Abstract

The article discusses procrastination, which is postponing or putting off important tasks. Procrastination is common among students and adults and can negatively affect academic performance, selfregulation, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. Some reasons for procrastination include laziness, the pursuit of perfection, the influence of social networks, fear of failure, and lack of concentration. Research indicates that there are two types of procrastinators: passive and active. Some strategies are suggested to deal with procrastination, such as dividing tasks into smaller parts, setting exclusive times for each activity, and using techniques such as Pomodoro. In conclusion, although procrastination can be detrimental, managing it and improving the quality of life is possible.
